Interior decoration
This addresses all of the surfaces in your home: window treatments, fabrics, furniture, light fixtures, paint color, rugs, artwork and accessories. Hiring an interior designer makes it all come together.
Space planning
Do you have a great space but have no idea what to do with it? Do you want to keep your existing furniture but need an overall solution for how to arrange it? This is where I come in. I will provide several floor plan options that make the most of your living area.
Remodeling and re-design of current spaces
Want to start from scratch? I can help. From selecting tiles in your bathroom to choosing the perfect flooring in your kitchen, save time and money by doing it right the first time. With my experience and the right contractors you will be able to sleep at night.
Custom furniture design and ordering
Having trouble finding the right sofa? For higher quality upholstery at similar price points, custom furniture can be a great option. You select the style and fabric, I design the exact size and proportions. Next, my talented local upholsterer will have you sitting in style for years to come. (Best of all, no one in your building will have the same sofa).
Shared discounts at the San Francisco Design Center
Designer discounts vary at each showroom, but typically you can expect to save 10-15% off the retail price.
Color consultation
Choosing the right paint color can be extremely daunting for many people. I will lend a professional eye to help you avoid unnecessary mistakes and achieve the exact look you were hoping for.

Fee structures

Fee structures vary and can be tailored to work within your budget:

Full-service interior design work is billed at an hourly rate.

For smaller projects, a flat fee per room is offered. Fee is based on client needs and goals, as well as the size of the space.

Design Process

Since many of my clients have never worked with an interior designer, I have created a small packet that I bring to initial consultations. The design process is broken down into manageable steps, helping you better understand what to expect. Sample floor plans are provided to illustrate my work process and communication style.

Research
The design process begins with discovering your needs. In the initial interview, I will assess your needs and tastes as well as review your goals, budget and expectations. By analyzing how you utilize your current space, I will uncover areas for improvement, which will then be addressed with the new design solution.
Schematic Design
The client’s needs and personality, combined with the interior architecture of the space, provide insight to help me create the new overall look and feel. Multiple floor plan options, furniture and materials selections, and color palettes are presented to the client. A budget spreadsheet is also presented as a tool to compare your options and track how selections will relate to the overall budget.
Design Development
The design concept is now developed into reality. With your input and decisions, I will finalize and implement the design. Detailed drawings are provided by Niche Interiors to the architect, general contractor, or custom furniture fabricator as needed. Lead times for furnishings and custom pieces are determined and a timeline is developed.
Implementation
We are almost there. Niche Interiors will coordinate delivery and installation. Your space is now ready to be enjoyed!

Budget Service Packages

Quick Fix: Design Coaching for a Flat Fee

Who doesn’t love a little instant gratification? Having trouble picking the paint color for your living room? Need some general guidelines and professional advice on furniture layout and style for your home? Then Quick Fix is for you. Simply email me with Quick Fix in the subject line and I will respond with various available appointment times for that same week. Appointments are scheduled in 1 hour increments at your residence and are billed at the flat fee of $300 for residences located within 15 miles of San Francisco. Residences located within 30 miles are billed at $350.

What’s Yours is Mine

Starting at $800 for a 1 bedroom apartment

Moving in with your significant other is a very exciting time. Make the most of it by letting Niche Interiors create a space you both will enjoy. I can help merge your styles and create an overall design solution that functions well and is comfortable for both of you. A floor plan is provided so you can best utilize the existing furniture in your new space. I will create a plan that incorporates the items you can’t bear to part with and edit out the items that just don’t work. Recommendations for new furniture, lighting and accessories are provided. I have counseled many couples in this area, and trust me, it’s a lot easier for me to iron out your design differences.

The Bachelor/ette

Starting at $800 for a 1 bedroom apartment

First impressions count. Whether we like it or not, our living spaces reflect who we are. Ready to make a positive change, head in a new direction, or just feel more comfortable in your own home? This is the package for you. I will evaluate what you have and what it says about you. Then tell me your vision, and I will help you make it happen. I will provide a new floor plan, recommendations on what to keep and what to toss, a new furniture and accessories plan and information for purchasing what you need. You take it from there. A significant change is achieved without a significant investment.
