Laurel Heights Home
Niche Interiors created an elegant, kid-friendly home for an energetic young family with a toddler and a baby on the way. Ottomans provide a convenient spot to put on shoes in the foyer, next to a faux shagreen console table and shell mirror. Since the couple favors a light and airy palette, we opted for ivory upholstery that was stain treated with a non-toxic solution. A charcoal velvet sofa and resin cocktail table anchor the formal living room. Low slung barrel back armchairs allow for easy conversation between the dining and living rooms. Toy storage in the corner of the great room creates a play space within eyeshot of the kitchen.
“Niche Interiors really listened to what I wanted and this made for a very smooth and efficient process. Jen and her team had a great sense for how to make the house kid-friendly but still beautiful and interesting. I couldn’t be happier with the end result. I feel like our house truly reflects our personal style without sacrificing any functionality.” – Julie & Ed
